FINANCE™ includes a comprehensive set of statuses to help you manage the lifecycle of your Estimates. This article outlines each status, what it means, and who can take action based on user permissions.





  • Description: The initial state when a estimate is created.

  • Who can edit: Users with the "Create & Update estimate" permission.

  • Next actions:

    • Send for Approval

    • Activate (if approval is not required and the user has permission)


Draft Sub Statuses:


  • Description: This status indicates the estimate has been created by a subcontractor or vendor and is pending internal review.
  • Who can edit: Only the internal user with the Create & Update Estimate permission who is assigned to review or consolidate the trade input.


  • Description: Indicates that a trade partner or vendor has formally submitted their estimate.
  • Who can edit: Users with the Create & Update Estimate permission. Typically used to finalize and review the estimate before moving to approval.


  • Description: The estimate has been submitted and is waiting for review.

  • Who can act: Users with the "Activate, Manage & Approve Estimate" permission can:

    • Approve

    • Send Back for Revision

    • Reject

  • Description: The estimate is approved and in use.

  • Who can edit: Only users with the appropriate permission.

  • Next actions:

    • Mark as Complete

    • Put On Hold

    • Deactivate



  • Description: The approved estimate has been added to a estimate.

  • Who can edit: No further edits allowed. The estimate becomes read-only.



  • Description: The estimate was returned with a request for changes.

  • Who can edit: Users with the "Create & Update Estimate" permission can revise and resubmit.

  • Description: An intermediate state after a revision begins.

  • Who can edit: Only the user revising the estimate.

  • Next step: Send for Approval

  • Description: The estimate was rejected.

  • Who can edit: Users with "Create & Update Estimate" permission can revise and resubmit.

  • Description: The estimate is temporarily paused.

  • Who can act: Users with On Hold permission can resume the estimate back to Active.

  • Description: The estimate is made inactive.

  • Who can act: Users with permission can reactivate it to Draft for further changes.

  • Description: The final state of a fully approved and used estimate

  • Who can act: No further edits are allowed. Estimate is read-only and can only be copied.
